THE generosity of Sir Thomas and Lady Dixon has been recorded in a new plaque unveiled by Mayor, Councillor Mark Dunn.
A ceremony took place on Friday outside the former Larne Borough Council headquarters in Victoria Road which bears their name to this day.
The plaque was provided by Larne and District Historical Society and its chairman, Liam Kelly, told guests that Sir Thomas and Lady Edith has displayed tremendous generosity when they handed over their home at Cairndhu for use as a convalescent hospital before moving to Belfast in 1947.
