IT looks like a two-horse race yet again in the Matlock Cycling Club time trial season with pacesetters Peter Colledge and Chris Green again alternating the midweek honours.
Peter won the 'short' Ashford 5, cut to a 1.2 mile sprint due to road works, for the third week running, this week beating both Chris and Gary Blackham, who tied on two minutes and 41 seconds, by nine seconds.
Then it was Chris's night yet again when it came to the 7.4-mile short hilly trial, which was this week ridden with full-on north-easterly headwind on the uphill sections with a tailwind down the homeward leg.
With dark clouds lurking only ten riders braved the wind ...
