Ontario Auditor General Jim McCarter found "good progress has been made in several areas" since his 2006 review of child welfare in the province. The review had covered four programs of the Ministry of Children and Youth Services and four Children's Aid Societies.
However, the auditor reports that his concerns with the Ministry's method of funding the Children's Aid Societies are still outstanding.
