ANY success Janet Barton achieves with a campaign to make Government road safety bosses sit up and listen will come too late for her.

But the grieving Birmingham widow is pressing ahead with the crusade to spare other families the anguish she went through.

She believes the Government is dragging its feet over changing central reservation barriers from steel to concrete - a switch she is adamant would have saved her husband's life.

Colin Barton, 58, from Sheldon, was killed in a motorway smash last year after a lorry ploughed head-on into him on the M40.
