THE Glenavon Hotel, Cookstown was the venue for the recent launch of the Holy Trinity College bid for Sports Specialism status.
The launch was very well attended by leaders of the local business community, representatives from the Department of Education and principals and staff from local schools
At present, a number of schools in Northern Ireland have successfully applied for specialist status and Holy Trinity will combine their emphasis on Sport with English.
This is part of an ambitious program by the college where there is a major focus on driving up standards in all aspects of education.
