Historian Ashley Cooper gives a talk based on old letters and diaries today.
Mr Cooper, who farms at Gestingthorpe, collects the personal items, which are a window on the realities of agricultural life and experiences of men in uniform.
He will be sharing their thoughts at a meeting staged by the Sudbury Society at Friars Hall, School Street, at 7.30pm. Tickets at the door are [pounds sterling]2 for members or [pounds sterling]3 for visitors.
