LA CROSSE EYES COLLEGE TUITION PLAN.(LOCAL)

LA CROSSE -- City, county and school officials want to study a program that potentially would pay all or part of college tuition for any student who graduates from the La Crosse School District.

City Economic Development Planner Tim Kabat said the three entities, among others, plan to partner in a $20,000 to $30,000 feasibility study to look at the costs, benefits and possible models for a La Crosse Promise scholarship program.

"We are hoping to educate folks about what the program entails, and that the study will help with the funding piece," Kabat said.
