Article: WARNER-LAMBERT REPORTS FOURTH-QUARTER, FULL-YEAR SALES AND EARNINGS

(NYSE: WLA) today reported worldwide sales for the three months ended December 31, 1995, increased 8 percent -- 10 percent at constant foreign exchange rates -- to a record $1.86 billion. Sales for the fourth quarter of 1994 were $1.72 billion.

As expected, earnings per share during the fourth quarter of 1995 decreased 11 percent to 91 cents, compared with $1.02 during the same period a year earlier. For the fourth quarter profit before tax decreased 8 percent to $166 million and net income decreased 11 percent to $123 million.

This is compared with profit before tax of $181 million and net income of $138 million in the same period one year ago.
