Yigal Amir was charged with the premeditated murder of Yitzhak Rabin and will go on trial later this month. His alleged accomplices, a brother and a friend, were charged with conspiracy to murder.
Egyptians voted in the second round of their parliamentary election. The ruling National Democratic Party won nearly all the seats in the first round, amid allegations of fraud and intimidation. Twelve people died in clashes by polling stations.
