THE British and Irish governments have moved quickly to exploit the excitement of Bill Clinton's visit to Northern Ireland, sending out invitations to all of the province's parties to "preliminary" talks and urging all sides to be more flexible. But the excitement has already begun to fade.
Though Mr Clinton's trip helped dissolve the stalemate over further talks, it could not heal at a stroke the divisions which have caused so much violence and suspicion in the province.
