Ex-RMV worker pleads guilty; Probation, gambling addiction counseling ordered for theft.(LOCAL NEWS)

MILFORD - A former Registry of Motor Vehicles clerk has pleaded guilty to stealing $76,000 in bank deposit checks from the Milford RMV branch, but will serve no jail time and pay back a third of what she stole.

Diana Coroniti, 36, of Walpole, pleaded guilty in Worcester Superior Court yesterday to a charge of larceny over $250 by a continuous scheme. Superior Court Judge Peter Agnes sentenced her to 5 years' probation, with the first year to be served under house arrest. As part of her sentence, Ms. Coroniti must wear an electronic monitoring ankle bracelet for the first year of her probation.
