RECORD NOVEMBER AT MINNEAPOLIS GRAIN EXCHANGE

MINNEAPOLIS, Dec. 7 /PRNewswire/ -- November was a record setting month at the Minneapolis Grain Exchange. First, it was the highest traded November for Spring Wheat with 455,377,000 bushels traded. Second, a new daily volume record was set on November 16 when 37,233,000 bushels were traded in the Spring Wheat pit. Third, the annual volume trading record was broken on November 17 when traders eclipsed the 4.1 billion bushel mark for the calendar year.

Many traders attribute the volume record to strong wheat prices in all grain futures markets. Wheat prices are in an historically high price range, trading around $5.00 per bushel for much of the summer and fall. The last ...
