Congratulations to registered nurse Rosemary Minto on her editorial in the February 2008 issue of Kai Tiaki Nursing New Zealand, urging nurses to "get political in election year".
NZNO staff member Iain Lees-Galloway is leading from the front on this issue with his successful nomination as labour's candidate for Palmerston North in this year's general election. As an ex-NZNO staffer myself, I took forward to Iain joining me in Labour's parliamentary team later this year. He will also join Labour MPs Lynne Pillay (ex-NZNO staffer), and ex-midwife and new minister, Steve Chadwick.
