The latest Adventist health study: a massive study of North American Seventh-day Adventists.

A huge study of Seventh-day Adventists was begun in 2002 with a goal of investigating the role of specific foods in the development of cancer. This study is of interest to vegetarians because Seventh-day Adventists are encouraged to follow a vegetarian diet. Also, most Seventh-day Adventists do not smoke or drink alcohol. This study differs from other studies of Seventh-day Adventists because it includes the entire United States and Canada; earlier studies were only conducted in California.
