The cacophonous clattering of the bottle line suddenly ceased in the dimly-lighted, cavernous room of an old warehouse, which was once the Chateau St. Jean sparkling wine facility at Graton. For some reason, the labels for one of Associated Vintage Groups' (AVG) more than 50 clients, was not adhering.
Craig Scarborough, AVG's general manager, suddenly halted the operation and went riffling through the buckets of glue he has on hand for such emergencies. When you're in a specialty wine service enterprise, you've got to be ready for any eventuality.
