Private Equity International's PEI 50, Unveiled Today, Details a List of Well Capitalized Top Players
NEW YORK & LONDON & SINGAPORE -- The largest 50 private equity firms in the world have seen a fundraising bonanza over the past year, according to the newly released PEI 50, a ranking of private equity firms produced by Private Equity International magazine.
The firms of the PEI 50 have raised roughly $810 billion in private equity direct-investment capital over the past five years. This is up markedly from the $551 billion raised by the largest 50 firms during the five years leading up to April 2007 and detailed in last year's PEI 50 rankings.
