One of the truly inspirational rewards of publishing specialty nursing journals is the opportunity to listen to and partner with some of the most brilliant and talented nursing minds in health care. During our recent search for Nursing EconomicS Editor, I was struck by the wisdom and insight of the candidates. Not that I don't see this everyday from all nurses, but realizing that these dynamic pacesetters were influenced and mentored by other great nursing leaders throughout their careers, and that they, in turn, have influenced and mentored future leaders, makes me humble and proud to help amplify nursing's voice in health care.
