REDWOOD CITY, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Jan. 23, 1996--N.E.T. is providing a multiservice communications backbone network for Compania de Comunicaciones Personales del Interior (CCPI), the cellular service provider to northern Argentina's 13 million inhabitants, under a contract awarded to Ericsson Business Communications AB of Sweden. The initial phase of the backbone network, which is based on the N.E.T. IDNX multiservice bandwidth manager and valued at $4 million, will support subscriber voice traffic and mission-critical data for CCPI's cellular network.
