Love your veggies: enticing children to eat their vegetables has been a challenge for moms the world over. For some unknown reason, many kids don't like the taste, texture, or even look of vegetables. One glance at the dreaded food on their plate sends them into tears and tantrums. Any hope of a nice, peaceful dinner vanishes.(Taste & See)

Exasperated moms have tried it all--being playful, pleading, and even bribing. Perhaps that's one reason why mothers often give in to their children's demands and resort to pizza, junk food, and anything else their child wants, just to have peace!

Although we sisters love our vegetables today, when we were little, we were no exception.

One night during dinner, Brenda was caught hiding asparagus in her napkin. It was bad enough that the sight and smell of this particular vegetable made her want to gag; now she still had to eat it--cold. Yuck! Being the creative person she is, she soon came up with new tactics, including pushing veggies off onto someone else's plate. ...
