May 1--Andy Mork enjoys the Boathouse's refined entrees and likes cooking Thai cuisine. He even digs the peppery meatballs at Taavi's. But when it's time for good old American fast food, he heads over the Cloquet River bridge to Gordy's Hi-Hat, an institution since 1960.
Mork praises the burgers, the onion rings ("they have bags of onions sitting out on the back step") and the fries. But it's the fish sandwich that impresses him the most.
"The sandwich is always with four fillets and the bread seems pretty good, too," he said.
