WRANGLER INTRODUCES FIRE-RESISTANT APPAREL.(Brief article)

NEW YORK - Wrangler is adding new fire-resistant apparel to its Western Wear and Riggs Workwear lines. The new jeans and shirts are aimed at blue-collar workers who need protective apparel on the job.

The fire-resistant styles will first hit retail stores in July and August, and they comply with safety standards laid out by agencies including the Occupational Safety and Health Administration and the National Fire Protection Agency. The fabrics used in the apparel are designed to self-extinguish almost immediately after the source of ignition is removed.
