In a convergence of national politics and tort jurisprudence, the theory that the U.S. government was responsible for the Sept. 11 terror attacks got a boost in a New York courtroom this week.
The New York Times reported that, incredibly, an appeals court ruled the Port Authority was more than 50 percent to blame for the 1993 truck bombing of the World Trade Center - and the terrorists who planned and carried it out were only 32 percent liable!
Why? The lawyers ...
