Jeff Bridges showed up on the set of "Iron Man" properly awed by the magnificent sets befitting such a big-budget movie.
The four-time Oscar nominee got caught flat-footed, though, when it came time to step before the camera.
"I thought they'd have this locked-in script. But in actuality, it was like acting in one of the more independent films I've done, like [with director] Hal Ashby," he says of director Jon Favreau's improvisational style. "There would be days when we'd show up to work and not know what we'd say."
