Innovation begins at home, or in this case, in your workplace, author Charles Fishman told a lunch crowd Wednesday at the Accelerate 2008 conference in Syracuse.
"It's not about finding the next big idea," the investigative reporter and senior writer for Fast Company magazine told 500 business people, students and environmental activists. "It's about everyday innovation and finding the next little idea."
Fishman, author of "The Wal-Mart Effect," gave the conference's luncheon keynote speech on "Competing with Everyday Creativity" at the Nicholas J. Pirro Convention Center at Oncenter in Syracuse.
