FLAMBOROUGH Lifeboat was called to rescue a stranded motorboat at Selwicks Bay, off Flamborough Head, last Saturday.
The 16ft blue and white motor boat, with four people on board, was having engine trouble and the Atlantic 85 lifeboat the Elizabeth Jane Palmer was launched at 2.27pm.
Jane Heaton, Flamborough Lifeboat press officer, said: "The lifeboat crew searched the area whilst one of the persons on board the stricken boat kept in touch with the coastguard using a mobile phone to help guide the lifeboat to their actual position.
"The motorboat was eventually located one-and-a-half miles off North Landing."
