United Airlines raised most domestic airfares by 3% to 5% as it struggles to cope with soaring fuel costs. The fare increase is United's third in just over two weeks and follows the airline's announcement that it will hike the fee it charges to change a ticket by $50, to $150. It also added a Saturday night stay requirement on many tickets.

Kraft unveiled new products in its continuing effort to boost sales and profit in a competitive market. The new items include macaroni-and-cheese-flavored crackers, granola bars that boast of digestive health benefits and Cool-Whip in an aerosol can. In total, Kraft plans to launch 80 products, on par with past years.
