Article: Price-fixing inquiries spread, Germany investigates.(NEWS)

BONN -- In February, German authorities searched the offices of seven chocolate makers as the German Federal Cartel Office opened an investigation into possible price-fixing activities on the part of candy and chocolate makers. The action follows similar inquiries opened late last year in Canada and the U.S.

Among those companies whose offices were raided are Mars, Inc., Kraft Foods Inc., Nestle SA, and Alfred Ritter GmbH & Co. KG, all of which say they are cooperating with the anti-trust agency.
