May 04, 2008 (The Australian Financial Review - ABIX via COMTEX) -- Ironbridge Capital's $A272 million takeover of Bravura Solutions is thought almost certain to proceed. A deal could be announced as soon as 5 May 2008. If Ironbridge does buy the financial software developer, the deal will be the first public-to-private buyout in Australia since December 2007, when Carlyle Group paid $A2.9 billion for Coates Hire. David Backler, of Deutsche Bank, thinks more private equity bids could emerge in the second half of 2008, as sellers become reconciled to reduced valuations.
