Of all the types of machinery exported by Taiwan last year, machine tools accounted for the largest sum at US$3.47 billion, representing growth of 17.1 per cent from 2006.

TAMI Chairman Huang Po-chih noted that 2007 was a fruitful year for Taiwan's machine tool industry, thanks to the fast growth in Taiwan's major export markets such as China, North America, Europe, Southeast Asia and Southwest Asia.
