ECO-FASHION IS A COMPLEX and a constantly evolving phenomenon. The terms 'ecological' or 'environmentally friendly' fashion usually refer to textile and clothing production processes and the environmental issues surrounding them. On the other hand, the terms 'ethical' or 'socially responsible' fashion generally relate to the working conditions of the people involved in the manufacturing processes. These two aspects of fashion often go together and many fashion businesses that aspire to environmental integrity also aim to be socially responsible. Consequently, the common use of the term 'eco-fashion' encompasses both.
