John Benek
A graveside service will be at 2:30 p.m. Friday, April 18, at Rest-Haven Memorial Park in Eugene for John D. Benek of Eugene. He died April 15 of age-related causes at age 89.
He was born May 7, 1918, in Du Quoin, Ill., to Joseph and Mary Fijala Benbenek.
Benek, a high school graduate, served in the Army in World War II. He worked as an accountant for Jensen Drilling Co. in Eugene.
Survivors include his wife; two sons, Alan of Eugene and Ron of McMinnville; a daughter, Marla Cyphert of Springfield; seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
