MATT LE TISSIER picked up the ball out on the left wing, flicked it up with his heel, chipped over Barry Venison, then over Kevin Scott, before calmly side-footing into the bottom corner of the net.
Later in the same game he audaciously flicked up the ball again and hit a swerving, dipping 30-yard volley past a bemused Mike Hooper for the match winner.
It was a Sunday in October of 1993. Kevin Keegan was the Newcastle manager who was beginning to assemble The Entertainers.
