Cornell Is First American University to Give the M.D. Degree Outside of the United States
NEW YORK, May 7 /PRNewswire/ -- Weill Cornell Medical College announced today that its branch campus, Weill Cornell Medical College in Qatar (WCMC-Q), part of Cornell University and the first American medical school ever established overseas, will graduate its first class in Doha, Qatar, on May 8, 2008.
The graduating class of 15 students - 9 women and 6 men - represents seven different nationalities. These include Qatar, Bosnia, India, Jordan, Nigeria, Syria, Palestine and the U.S. In attendance at the Qatar commencement will be senior officials from the health, ...
