COMO -- COMO - Nellie Bruce Sumner Gibson, 61, passed away May 5, 2008, in her home after a long battle with cancer. A former resident of Rocky Mount, she was born in Como, a daughter of the late Charles Bruce and Nell Amanda Howell Sumner. She attended Buckhorn Baptist Church and was predeceased by her former husband, William E. "Hoot" Gibson.
Survivors include her son, Alexander Derek Gibson and wife Kelly of Rocky Mount, N.C., and their children, Mia, Lexi and Reese; a brother, Charlie Bruce Sumner Jr. and wife Joyce of Como; niece, Melissa ...
