I wonder today what the reporter wrote at the conclusion of Mildred Loving's trial back in July 1958.
My guess is he or she likely relied on Caroline County (Va.) Circuit Court Judge Leon M. Bazile's finding that Loving and her husband, Richard, were guilty, simply concluding they had broken the law. The law, after all, is the law.
