DETROIT, Jan. 29 /PRNewswire/ -- At a news conference today, General Motors (NYSE: GM) announced it will award Johnson Controls, Inc. (NYSE: JCI) of Plymouth, Michigan and Chivas Products Ltd. of Sterling Heights, Michigan a six-year contract worth an estimated $900 million to produce interior components and systems for model-year 2000 vehicles.
