IRVINE, Calif. -- Autobytel Inc. (Nasdaq: ABTL), a leading Internet automotive marketing services company, today announced financial results for the first quarter ended March 31, 2008.

Revenue for the 2008 first quarter was $20.7 million, compared with $21.9 million in the first quarter of 2007. The expected decline was primarily attributable to lower advertising revenue reflecting the planned elimination of low quality traffic sources in the fourth quarter of 2007, slightly offset by an increase in fees generated from leads.
