IN WHAT COULD BE seen as a sign that The Boeing Co. believes it is finally getting its Dreamliner back on track, reporters will soon get an up-close-and-personal look at the 787 assembly line in Everett.
It will mark the first time the media have been invited to see the 787 since the first plane was publicly unveiled July 8.
A few hours after that elaborate ceremony, the 787 went back into the factory, where it has remained as Boeing workers hunkered down to complete a massive amount of work that was not done by Boeing's partners.
In fact, the Dreamliner was mostly an empty shell when it was shown off that July day.
