The latest from progressive bluegrass group, the Seldom Scene, gives us a baker's dozen tracks showcasing their hallmark harmonies. Great songs all, the selections more than meet the challenge of judiciously placing tradition alongside contemporary.
With three lead vocalists, it is little wonder that the harmonies that prevail are among the very best out there today. Dudley Connell, Lou Reid and Fred Travers each add vibrant color to every note sung, while bassist Ronnie Simpkins rounds out the vocals.
