Plans to create a new career and technical high school in Syracuse advanced Thursday. Officials agreed to develop a request for proposals to hire contractors to perform exterior work, which could begin this summer.
The old Central High School building needs a new roof, windows and masonry repairs. It is the first building scheduled to undergo renovations in a 10-year project that aims to improve 35 existing schools.
The Joint Schools Construction Board, which oversees the renovation project, approved the development and release of a bid package for the three exterior projects. The board will then await ...
