BEVERLY, N.J.--Dec. 10--When Joseph Spinogatti pops in the video of "A Walk Through Beverly," which chronicles his town circa 1940, you can see him getting swept up in the delicious days of his youth.
You can also see him, literally, in the grainy flick. He was a little tyke then, in short pants and slicked-down hair, trotting fast-motion with a bunch of other kindergartners out of the "little school," one of four schools located in the South Jersey community back then.
But that school is no longer, along with the skating rink, the bowling alley, the hardware store, the car dealership.
What's left are a couple of schools, nine churches, two fledgling ...
