FARMERS are uniting to bring shoppers back to markets.
They have formed the Calderdale Farmers Co-operative to give a helping hand to anyone who produces their own food or crafts.
They are hoping to boost the sale of locally-produced goods and cut down on food miles.
Robyn Heap, from Calderdale Cheese Company at Crow Hill End Farm in Hubberton, Sowerby, said: "If you walk round supermarkets you see French apples and New Zealand lamb.
"We want to get back to foods produced locally."
The group will give stall space to traders who cannot fill a whole stall and sell goods for people who cannot make it to market. All they ask in ...
