PEOPLE passionate about the future development of society are invited to join the South Tyneside Fabians.
New members are welcome to group meetings, which take place on the second Monday of each month at the John Wright Centre, in Flagg Court, South Shields, at 7.30pm.
Group secretary Paul Freeman said: "The main thing is to be interested in society and how it should face the future."
Founded in 1884, the Fabians take their name from the Roman general Quintinus Fabius, known as the Cuncator, for his strategy of delaying battle until the right moment.
