In science's latest offering to bar-bet trivia comes this finding: The rabbit may be more closely related to a monkey than it is to a rat.
The fact that the rat and the rabbit look somewhat alike _ with beady eyes, fuzzy fur, whiskers and big teeth _ means nothing.
A molecular analysis, reported in Thursday's issue of Nature magazine, allies the bunny with primates, like the ringtailed lemur and the chimp.
