SPRINGFIELD - Welcome to the City Council, Terri Leezer.
And welcome back, Mayor Sid Leiken, and councilors Dave Ralston and Joe Pishioneri.
It's a no-contest kind of election season in Springfield, where all four of the aforementioned candidates find themselves running unopposed for volunteer city posts.
That means that unless someone mounts a successful, last-minute write-in campaign, Leiken, Leezer, Ralston and Pishioneri are guaranteed of winning four-year terms in the May 20 primary.
