CONSTABLE Mark Stephen has been appointed a Community Liaison Officer in Arbroath.
Born in Dundee, he was brought up in Arbroath and was educated at Timmergreens Primary and Arbroath High Schools.
He joined Tayside Police as a cadet in 1992 but left in 1993 to become a lab technician at the former Moray Firth Maltings in Arbroath.
Constable Stephen rejoined the Police service in 1997 with Lothian and Borders Police and was a uniformed beat officer in Edinburgh, Bathgate, Armadale, Whitburn and latterly Livingston, West Lothian where he spent four years in Operations Division, Roads Policing Branch.
