You know you're worth watching when you've appeared on "The Daily Show with Jon Stewart.'' In April 2005, "Daily Show'' correspondent Ed Helms visited Rachel Bronson, then director of Middle East Studies at the Council on Foreign Relations in New York, for a skit on how Muslims view the United States.

For the most part, it was a routine interview, with a few odd questions: "Why do they hate us?'' and "Is it because we eat pork?'' Still, even the unflappable Ms. Bronson was at a loss for words when asked, "Why don't they accept Jesus Christ as their savior? It would make things so much easier.''
