Enid Darby received the best Mother's Day present this week.
A bone marrow donor for her daughter Eunique Darby, 14, who has leukemia, has been found.
The news came as volunteers are gearing up for the Thanks Mom Marrow Donor Drive, the third annual campaign designed to recruit 46,000 new donors nationwide from now through May 18. The goal is to encourage people to thank their mothers for giving them life by joining in the effort to save the lives of the 6,000 people who need a bone marrow transplant on any given day.
