As the realties of peace between Arabs and Israelis becomes more an issue of action than words, the coldest of Israel's enemies - Syria - remains adamant in its stand to get what it wants or wait for the peace talks to collapse.
IN THE AFTERMATH OF THE RABIN assassination, Syria sent no official condolences but indicated through official newspaper editorials that it expected the new Israeli Prime Minister Shimon Peres to move fast on the peace talks track.
