HANGING baskets are always popular and we've come a long way from the traditional summer creations of trailing geraniums, nepeta and lobelia - nothing wrong with these, I hasten to add.
I well remember when winter baskets of dwarf bulbs, pansies etc was practically unheard of.
May I strongly urge you, space permitting, to extend the concept to include herbs, fruit, salad and vegetables.
Salad leaves, radish, spring onions, round forms of carrot and beetroot, all do well and can provide summer-long tasty ...
